Back-Announce

Identifying a song or segment after it airs, often with the artist, title, and station name.

A back-announce is the host naming what just played — typically the artist and title — after a song or set. It serves the listener who wants to know the track and reinforces the station brand.

Back-announces are usually brief and factual, and often bundled with a front-sell of what is next so the break does double duty.
