Front-Sell

Teasing what is coming up next to give the listener a reason to stay tuned through a break.

To front-sell is to tell the audience what is coming — the next song, a feature, a contest, or a story — before a break or stop set. The goal is to give a concrete reason to keep listening rather than scan away.

Effective front-sells are specific ("the new track in two minutes") rather than vague ("stay tuned"). They pair naturally with teases and back-announces to keep momentum across breaks.
