The research and content a host gathers and writes before going on air.
Show prep is everything an air talent prepares ahead of a shift — story ideas, talk-break copy, questions, bits, local references, and timely topics. It is the difference between a host who has something to say and one who is winging it.
Good prep is current, local, and relevant to the audience, and it is organized so the host can grab the right piece at the right moment without fumbling.
