Share
The percentage of the listening audience tuned to a station out of everyone listening to radio at that time.
Share expresses a station’s slice of the active radio audience — of all the people listening to any station right now, what percent are on ours. Unlike cume, it is relative to the competition rather than to the total population.
A rising share means winning listeners from other stations, which is why share is watched closely daypart by daypart.
